Preventive Screenings
Preventive screening is available on all LA Health Benefit Options
The Pharmacy Screening Benefit covers certain screening tests from the Major Medical Benefit if provided by a VitalityCheck phamacy. These tests are:
- Blood glucose
- Blood pressure
- Cholesterol
- Body Mass Index (BMI)
Look out for the ‘Vitality Check’ sign at your pharmacy. Remember: you do not have to be a Vitality member to have access to these benefits.
Other screening tests covered by LA Health, subject to the applicable benefits in your Option, are:
- Mammogram
- Pap smear
- Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA)
- HIV
These tests are important because it allows you to detect a medical condition early, giving you a better chance for a healthy life.
